- He is Abdullah Malik bin Anas bin Malik bin Abi Amer Al-Asbahi Al-Hamiri Al-Madani (93-179 AH / 711-795 AD), a Muslim jurist and hadeeth, the second of the four imams of the Sunnis and the community, and the owner of the Maliki school of Islamic jurisprudence. He was famous for his abundant knowledge and the strength of his memorization of the Prophet’s hadith and his steadfastness in it. He was known for patience, intelligence, prestige, dignity and good morals. Many scholars, including Imam al-Shafi’i, praised him by saying: “If scientists are mentioned, then the owner of the star, and the owner of God’s argument over his creation after the followers.”
