Best DIY Mini Donut Hamburgers For Baby Shower

Let’s all take a collective moment to brace ourselves for the cuteness of miniature food and drinks. We all know mini donuts are possibly the most adorable things ever, this application will share you step by step to make Best DIY Mini Donut Hamburgers.

Supplies :

– Mini donut pan (I used this one)

– Poppy seeds

– Yellow fondant for cheese

– Pink or red frosting for onions or tomatoes

– Shredded coconut

– Green food coloring

– Sprinkles (of course!)

For vanilla baked donuts:

– 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

– 1/2 cup dark brown sugar

– 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

– 1 dash nutmeg

– 1 egg

– 3 tablespoons butter (melted)

– 1/4 cup milk

– 2/3 cups plain greek yogurt

– 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

For chocolate baked donuts (the hamburger patty):

– 5 tablespoons butter (melted)

– 1 egg

– 1/2 cup milk

– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

– 1/2 cup sugar

– 2 teaspoons baking powder

– Pinch of salt

– 1 cup all purpose flour

– 1/2 cup cocoa powder

Directions :

For both donuts:

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Mix all wet ingredients and all dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Slowly whisk the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and pour halfway into the donut pan.

3. Bake for 7 minutes and allow to fully cool. Once cooled, cut all donuts in half. You will be using the top and bottom of the vanilla donuts for the top and bottom hamburger buns, and the tops of the chocolate donuts for the hamburger patty.

4. Wet the tops of the vanilla donuts with a few drops of water and put some poppy seeds and rainbow sprinkles on top.

5. In a small bowl, combine a few drops of the green food coloring and the shredded coconut to look like lettuce.

6. Roll out the yellow fondant and cut into “cheese” slices.

7. Assemble your mini donut hamburgers and enjoy!
