Sugarcane is one of the most important economic crops used in the food and industry of our country. Sugarcane crops are cultivated for eating sugar, jaggery and chew. Sugarcane is a long-term crop, which lasts about 3-5 months. Sugarcane cultivation was very popular when food was scarce in the country. But day by day, the prices of other commodities including food grains have increased. However, due to the relatively high price of sugarcane, the peasant brothers have lost interest in sugarcane cultivation. By cultivating high-yielding and short-lived crops, higher incomes are gradually reducing sugarcane cultivation. At the same time sugarcane is being cultivated on relatively low quality land. As a result, the yield of sugarcane is decreasing day by day. Which is affecting the sugar industry as a whole.
