Calculation of the cost per participant and the drivers due for a carpooling or ride sharing journey.

The program calculates the cost according to the miles travelled and possible toll costs paid.

The cost is equally distributed between the participants and the drivers due is calculated as the cost for a car minus the cost for a passenger.

To facilitate the payment the cost per participant is rounded to a fraction or multiple of a dollar, euro or pound. It is possible to incline the rounding to the closest value or to a superior or inferior value by indicating an amount to be added to the exact cost before rounding.

The rounded cost is multiplied with the number of participants and divided by the number of cars giving the rounded cost per car.

The rules for the rounding as well as initial values for the parameters that enter in the calculus may be specified on the Settings screen.
