And that is why you need Clock Talk. It has all the traditional features of a voice recorder, but adds the all-important timer. Pick a time frame that suits you, and the app will count it down. Just wait for the beep, and start recording.

By tracking how fast or slowly you speak, the app ensures that you never lose out during speaking exams like the TOEFL or IELTS, speak too long at a debate or miss that climactic final chorus before your time runs out.

How it works:

The countdown timer lets you record for the time-span that you have defined. Once you set the timer, you’ll hear a beep that tells you to start recording. Later, you can name your file and store or share it with just one click.

What’s next:

The app has not been optimized specially for tablets yet, but will soon be. The sharing capability over Whatsapp and email may not be supported on every device, and is a work in progress. And of course, feedback is welcome!
