EchoApp - AAC app

Echo is a free and ad-free, customizable AAC app and speech assistant for speech impaired or non-verbal persons. Echo is designed and developed with the help of Speech Language Pathologists, Special Ed experts and

logopedists. The app uses a communication boards method to give voice to those who cannot use their own.

Echo allows persons who have a physical or mental condition that obstructs them from using their speech themselves to easily and intuitively express themselves. Examples of such people includes people on the autistic spectrum, including Asperger's and Autism, people with aphasia, ALS, apraxia, stroke and others.

1. Intuitive communication board that allows for users to click on a symbol and produce speech.

2. Pre-set symbols and audio files to get you started

3. Personalization by choosing a character based on the identity of the user (race and sex); or take your own picture of the user.

4. Edit images (from gallery or camera), audio files and names of pre-existing symbols (for example, you can add an image of the user's favorite park, in the pre-existing symbol for going to the park).

5. Group boards in categories (e.g. People; Places; Verbs)

6. Add new symbols by adding an image from your gallery or camera and recording their audio.

7. Safe-guarded edit-mode behind PIN entry provided exclusive accessibility to parents and caregivers.

8. Offline-mode. After downloading Echo, you don't need internet connection to use the app.

9. Accessible support. Our team is dedicated to helping and making the app as accessible and enjoyable for our users and the caregivers of our users.

10. English and Macedonian language available. We are planning to make the app available in Albanian, Arabic, Georgian, Serbian and Spanish in the near future as well.

Echo is an open-source app that everyone has the right to use, improve, translate and modify for non-commercial use only.

Echo is and will always be free, and with no exclusive features or content behind a paywall.
