Surat Al-Jinn is among the Qur’anic surahs that were revealed to the Holy Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, in the years preceding the Prophet’s migration.

The location of Surat Al-Jin is in relation to the 72 chapters in the Holy Qur’an, and the surah contains a number of 28 verses.

And the reason for the revelation of this surah is due to the fact that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, went to the Okaz market with his companions.

The Messenger saw that the jinn could not listen to what is hidden in the sky and the news of the unseen from God's creations.

This is because God Almighty commanded meteors and also meteors to follow any genie trying to eavesdrop and follow him.

It surrounds them from all diagonals to prevent them from listening to what is in the sky.

The jinn spread in the east and west of the earth, to find out the reason for preventing them from being able to listen, and through that they passed the Holy Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, while he was reciting some verses of the Noble Qur’an.

At that time, the jinn believed what they had heard from the Holy Qur’an from the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, and knew the direction of truth and lies.
