I'm Learning to Read and Write

The First Learning to Read and Write application was designed in accordance with the curriculum with the approval and guidance of expert teachers. Learning to read and write will now be very enjoyable with this application.

I am learning to read and write application is supported with many activities and games related to making sounds felt.

With our reading and writing application, learning to read and write will now be very easy by having fun and having a pleasant time with lots of games. This application was prepared taking into account the recommendations of experienced classroom teachers in teaching primary reading and writing. It complies with the national education curriculum. The application is supported with games. This application will help anyone who has difficulty reading and writing in primary school first grade students and intermediate grades. I am learning to read and write application makes learning easy and fun with its rich visual and audio content.

The Learning to Read and Write Application consists of three parts.

Part One - Teaching Voice:

In this section, information about letters is given in the order of their sound groups. It includes the pronunciation of the letter, its spelling, objects starting with those letters, words containing that letter, and letter finding activities from the mixed table.

Correct spelling of the letter is indicated by guide arrow signs. The uppercase and lowercase versions of the letter are displayed simultaneously. Writing the letter is reinforced with the write in notebook activity.

Part Two - Reading Time:

In this section, there are 12 pages of reading texts, taking into account the letter groups. Reading by spelling is very important in teaching initial reading and writing. Taking this into account, the texts were written in two different colors to highlight the spelling. In this way, students will learn to spell correctly by taking into account the colors. There are many benefits of reading by spelling and doing lots of repetition in the first reading and writing education.

Part Three – Playtime:

Play is of great importance in teaching primary reading and writing. Learning done by playing games is more permanent. The games we have prepared regarding the learned sounds provide more effective learning. The success rate in teaching reading and writing through entertaining educational activities is quite high. We prepared three games for this purpose.

First Game - Listen and Find Game:

In the listen and find game, you are asked to find the spelling of the word or syllable that is spoken. Effective listening skills are measured with this game. Acquiring writing what you hear is very important in the first teaching of reading and writing. The rule of the game is as follows; syllables or words are voiced. The student chooses the correct spelling of the syllable or word he hears from the given options.

Second Game – Find Your Name Game:

Visual reading is done in the Find Your Name Game. Visuals are given in order of sound groups. First, the name of the image is said aloud, then the spelling of the spoken word is found. With this game, the name of a visible object is expressed and the spelling of the expressed word is found. Self-expression skills are important in teaching reading and writing to the first grade of primary school. Find Your Name Game enables students to say what they see and write down what they say.

Third Game – Matchmaking:

In the matching game of the I am learning to read and write application, two different visuals are given on the left. There are three words opposite the images. An attempt is made to find out which word the image belongs to. The logic of the matching game is equivalent to visual reading skill.
