Before installing and using this application please read carefully this info.

This application is only available for SmartWatch 2(SW2) and it was developed as a student project for the Software analysis and development Course at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics (henceforth referred to as FOI).

Application description:

SkiLift is mobile/smart-watch application which shows capacities of all the lifts in the ski resort. Our web page is listed below. Each lift has its own four buttons. Green is for simulation between 0-25% capacity, yellow is for 25-75% capacity, orange is for 75-100% lift capacity. If you want to test this app, please contact us to give you demo credentials.

Our application has three way communication. First, our server sends lift data to smartphone using Google Cloud Messaging and then smartphone acts like a gateway and sends filtered data to smart-watch via Bluetooth. Its important to user open smartphone application before simulating data because their smartphone need to register on Google Cloud Messaging. When users smartphone is registered on Google Cloud Messaging and when data is simulated from our web page, data is showed on smart watch.

Then user can from smartphone change smart-watch interface (simple list, detailed list, pie chart, radar),

filter lifts in order to show capacities of chosen lifts, sort lifts by capacity (ascending/descending). Also, we add extra feature which enable users to change smart-watch interface directly from smart-watch using hand gestures. When user move smart-watch on their hand quickly smart-watch interface is changed. When user is satisfied with interface he can turn off this extra feature from smartphone.

Install info:

In order to have this app running, you need to install Smart Connect (from Sony Mobile communications) and its extension: SmartWatch 2 SW2 from Google Play. This application will even let you to simulate the usage of Smart Watch, so the real hardware is not obligatory to have. After installing this app, it will be accessible through Smart Connect.
