Mood tracker for middle schoolers
Mood mAPP is a mood tracking application intended to aid researchers at UCSD’s Center for Global Mental Health in collecting data on various cultural factors affecting mental health in middle school-aged children. It also serves to provide feedback (by presenting results for self-evaluation, as well as active feedback based on indication of need) in addition to crisis resources in order to help mitigate common mental health issues among this demographic. Participants in the study (post-pilot testing) will receive a psychological assessment (including depression and anxiety screening) prior to beginning app use. Mood mAPP is not meant to diagnose nor treat these conditions. It is compliant with Institutional Review Board (IRB) standards for human research.
