Motm Browser (Unreleased)

The Molecule of the Month browser highlights the wonders of the monthly science report from Dr. Goodsell at the RCSB.org. His "PDB-101" presentations are available on the web at the RCSB. This app attempts to pay tribute to his work by putting these molecules at your fingertips on an Android device.

This app is under active development. Known issues are:

In Night Mode - the PDB cards have the incorrect background color.

Settings dialog is not implemented - it will be implemented in the near future

User Interface feedback on 3D view is needed when adjusted for out of memory conditions.

On low memory - the view cannot display both ribbon and ball-and-stick models.

There are many fixes needed for unusual atoms in the models - so there will be lot of disconnected satellite atoms present in some PDB 3D views.

Tablet layout needs more work to allow Molecule and 3D viewing side by side in landscape mode.

This Android application does not save any state, aside from caching images and PDB files. No personal information is stored in the application. The only permission needed is to access the internet to download content from the RCSB.org servers. Access to network state is needed as a courtesy to let you, the user, know when there is no internet connectivity.
