Chess Basics

Designed for anyone who can play chess and now wants to learn chess strategy basics. This app has 20 levels, which give feedback as you progress.

Each level teaches a specific skill, such as single piece checkmates, middlegame mates, basic endgames, relative piece values, how to start a chess game, and how to win material by using pins and forks. The quizzes track your progress - a score of at least 50% will see you through to the next level.
