The articles published in this book are a collection of the writings of the late Ustadz Aang Baihaqi which are published regularly in the Sufi Shop rubric in the Ad-Da'wah Bulletin. The Ad-Da'wah Bulletin is a Friday bulletin published by Al-Amin Mojokerto Islamic Boarding School from 2006 to 2007. This bulletin was managed by Al-Amin students under the guidance of the late Ustadz Aang Baihaqi, who at that time was the nadzir or head boarding school at the boarding school. Then we also include his papers which he conveyed to his students when he taught the Aswaja/NU-ness subject.

In his writings in the bulletin, he uses the pen name "Ibnu Turots". I do not know what the reason and purpose he used the pen name. However, if we explore it in terms of language, the word "Ibn Turots" comes from Arabic which means "son of tradition". According to my interpretation, he used this pen name because he wanted to emphasize his identity as a human being who was born from the womb of tradition, especially Islamic boarding schools, while at the same time reminding himself not to forget this cultural identity. This is none other than because he has the awareness that cultural identity is what makes him a figure that has meaning, and must provide benefits, both for himself personally and for the wider community. The use of this pen name may also be interpreted as his criticism of some people who have lost their cultural and national identity or identity, so that they are not aware of the personal and social responsibilities they carry.
