In many ways Elden Ring interactive map is not a new concept or even a fresh idea. Saddling up and rushing at full speed into the In-between Lands with smithing stone was like that same fond feeling of longing you get godrick when you revisit a familiar college library or an old childhood hangout, even though it's a new IP. Within hours of loading the game, I felt a faint sense of nostalgia with Ranni, Margit, Malina, Sellen, Irina and Radahn, sound design and Elden Ring game moonevil attributes.

The result was a masterful rune arc experience that continued to exceed my expectations, no matter how familiar it seemed at first bell bearing glance. Instead of coming up with clever new forms of gameplay or a more creative narrative premise, it instead decided to polish its format to a mirror-like shine and push the boundaries of what this type of Elden Ring has to offer by fitting it into a more conventional open-world framework.
