It is when Muslims sacrifice a goat, sheep, cow or a camel, sending part of the meat to poor people as a donation. It honors the willingness of Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice his promised son, Ishmael (Ismail), as an act of submission to God's command, before God then intervened, through His angel Gabriel (Jibra'il) and informs him that his sacrifice has already been accepted. They like to tell Allah what they are thinking and hope for him to help them, and remember Ibrahim and Ishmael's courage and devotion to God.
