The Egyptian child, Sherif Mustafa, studies at the Nasr City Azhari Institute, where his father chose for him from the beginning a different life from the rest of his peers. He was only four years old, and at that time he memorized the shortest of the surahs, using tapes and CDs of the great reciters of the Noble Qur’an.

After the family sensed in the child the talent for quick memorization and assimilation of what he heard from the verses of the Qur’an, she decided to include him in the book, and during the period from 4 to 7 years, he was able to memorize 4 parts of the Holy Qur’an.

The eighth year of the child’s life was the major turning point in his life, as his father learned that there is a competition to memorize the Qur’an that will be held after three months, and the child was supposed to recite a poem during the ceremony, and the duration of memorizing it was at least two hours, so he memorized it in half an hour.

Here, the supervisor of the competition sent His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Shakoor Mahmoud Ali informing his father that his son has a good ability to memorize, and he prophesied to him to be a scholar of religion, and the Sheikh’s words fell on his father, a pleasant surprise, and when he knew his abilities in memorization, he began to encourage him in all material and moral ways, hoping To participate in the competition.

Sharif Mustafa used to memorize half a page at the beginning every day, and he reached 10 pages later. equal to half a juz, and when he reached this number of pages in memorization, the real journey of memorizing the Holy Qur’an began, and he was supposed to memorize ten parts within three months, but Sheikh Abdul Shakour Mahmoud and his grandfather had memorized twenty parts in only two months, so he asked his father to complete With him the journey and the child sealed the last ten parts in just 25 days.

There were only five days left for the competition. The father then addressed the son and asked him to keep his calm even if he lost in the competition, because he did what he could, and it is sufficient for him that God is the one who has to memorize the entire Holy Qur’an during this simple period.

The child quietly listened to the father’s advice and actually applied it on the ground. He recited the verses of the Holy Qur’an requested by the members of the jury, until he got first place, and even found himself surrounded by gifts and donations from followers of the competition.
