RideSafe runs quietly in the background monitoring the users speed. When the app detects the phone is moving in a vehicle, it disables all phone capability.

Unlike other apps, RideSafe completely locks the phone. It does not just go to the lock screen. It does not just respond to texts and phone calls. The user cannot use any apps, take calls, or text while the phone is locked. Best of all, RideSafe cannot be uninstalled without the parental password!

The user can then choose to take an attention verification test or utilize emergency override to unlock the phone. When emergency override is selected, the phone's background turns red until reset by the parent.
