Text Fiction for Thunderword (Unreleased)

This is an experimental adaption of Text Fiction app to work in parallel with the Wake Reality Thunderword app.

NOTE: The Thunderword app must be installed to run Glulx stories. Otherwise you will just have the original Text Fiction capability to run Z-machine/Z-code stories.

The creative user interface of Text Fiction and high-quality well-commented source code has been a pleasure to adapt to Thunderword's backend.

Usage Notes

Some tips on capability and expectations:

1. Text Fiction's creative user interface is designed for a two-window game, the traditional status window and main story window. Running Glulx stories with multiple windows - Thunderword will try to automatically detect which is the 'main window' and drop all output for the remaining windows. In other words, not all Glulx stories will work.

2. Graphic images that are inline to the main window work, but dedicated graphic windows will not work. Graphic windows will not appear. The working capability can be demonstrated with Wade Clarke's Glulx story "Six!" (download is here: http://ifdb.tads.org/viewgame?id=kbd990q5fp7pythi )

3. The Text Fiction user interface should also work with TADS and other two-window engines provided with Thunderword, but currently it does not search or show or launch those story files.

4. Long-pressing on the Thunderword icon from Text Fiction will launch the story directly in Thunderword (acting as a launcher app).

5. There is a new preference category to change settings related to Thunderword integration.
