About TotalCross API samples

TotalCross is a development platform for mobiles using the Java language

TotalCross (totally cross-platform) is a development platform to build applications for smartphones, tablets and desktop. Using the Java language, the platform makes possible to build applications for a wide range of devices, without any changes in the source code (real "write once run anywhere").

The supported platforms are: Android, iOS, Windows Phone 8, Linux and Windows desktop. Among these, you can run TotalCross in any platform using the Java Development Kit.

TotalCross can be used in any IDE, like Eclipse or Netbeans, and you do all the development as if it was a standard Java application. It has also 2 embedded databases, Litebase and SQLite, under a less than 2MB footprint.

TotalCross was created in 2000, and already ran in platforms like Palm OS, Windows CE, Symbian and Blackberry.

This sample program shows the TotalCross API splitted in packages, like user interface, gps, socket, google maps, dial, scanners, printing, etc.
