The D. Y. Patil Educational Academy, Ambi, Pune was established in the year 2008 as a part of D. Y. Patil Group. Our beloved founder President and the beacon of light in the field of education his Excellency Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil, Governor of Bihar, West Bengal and Tripura, and our Respected President Dr. Vijay. D. Patil, a doyen in the educational field in India, was instrumental in establishing the Dr. D. Y. Patil Educational Academy at Ambi, Talegaon. They have a novel vision to provide professional education, primarily to the rural youth and underprivileged students so as to give them an opportunity to realize their dreams of career in various professional fields.

D Y Patil School of Engineering Academy is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi, Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and the Government of Maharashtra. All its courses are affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. It offers Undergraduate courses in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automobile Engineering, E&TC Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. It also offers post graduate courses in Signal Processing and Heat Power.

The Institute is fully equipped with modern infrastructure facilities such as spacious lecture halls with modern audio-visual aids, fully equipped laboratories, library, reading rooms, seminar hall, computer center & state of art workshop facility. It has qualified and experienced faculty that makes the backbone of the Institute. Alongside, emphasis is given on conduction of Workshops/Seminars, Conferences, Professional Training Programs, Technical Events, Industry visits and also to motivate students to participate in all India competitions such as SAE Mini Baja, SAE Supra, and Go-kart. To familiarize our students with the best industrial practices and give them exposure to practical aspects of engineering education, guest lecture by eminent Industry Expert has been the common feature of the Institute. To compete at Global Level, the students get the training not only in technical skills but also in soft skills.

The recruitment of the students via Campus Placement has been the strength of the academy. Taking into consideration the age of the Institute, the placement scenario has been phenomenal for the academic year 2015-16.
