Sensichips - Personal Hazards Monitor (PHM)

The Personal Hazards Monitor (PHM) is an application that demonstrates the extensive capabilities of the SENSIPLUS microsensor fusion platform, and it leverages on the SENSIPLUS Application Programming Interface.

PHM supports virtually any hardware based on the SENSIPLUS microsensors, at startup it reads application and hardware configuration parameters by means of a configuration XML file.

A key hardware configuration demonstrated by the PHM is the Smart Cable, an array of distributed SENSIPLUS microsensors installed on a cable long up to 200meters and sharing a single data line.

The hardware can be connected to the demonstrating Tablet or Smartphone by means of USB OTG, from which it draws the power supply, or with a battery powered Wireless WiFi.

The Applet plots realtime data retrieved from the sensors both in a temporal or spatial diagram.

The three main sections of the application are Demo, Instruments, Plot & Debug.

- SENSORS screen lists all 12 on chip sensors that can be demonstrated with a one push button

- RabbitMQ screen allos to demostrate realtime streaming of sensor data to a remote server

- Chemical, Warfare, Flammable, Radiation screen report realtime concentration of the detected agent in air
