DOQ Priorat

We would like to introduce you to the new app. of the DOQ Priorat. This tool is designed to allow visitors to get to know the villages, the wineries and the wines of the DOQ Priorat and to access all the necessary information to organise an in-depth visit to the Priorat wine region.

The place name of Priorat has been associated with wine for many centuries. Its landscape has been defined by the steeply sloping, traditional “coster” vineyards and optimum climatic conditions which favour the complete ripening of the grapes grown here on a soil which is dominated by the characteristic “llicorella” or slate of the Priorat. Combine this with the hard work of men and women who make wine here and whose winemaking tradition goes back over a thousand years and today, with the introduction of new techniques to favour quality; we can speak of a unique product, the wine of Priorat.
