TheGengame is the new game you play with your home energy use. We're giving out free energy sensors to households in the north east when they sign up to take part in our free beta trial.

Compete to win vouchers and other prizes by making electricity reductions at certain times.

Key Features:

Energy Use: Viewable from the dashboard, shows your live household energy data. A daily graph displays historical energy use in 30 min periods. The dashboard also highlights next ‘GenGame Time’, when we want you to reduce your electricity.

Live Game: A responsive side-scrolling game playable during ‘GenGame Times’ (DSR events). It uses 30 second energy data (depending on set-up). Your power level controls the height of your spaceship. Keep your energy low to collect GenGame Points and avoid damage.

GenGame Points: Your ‘score’ in The GenGame, accumulated by shifting energy use. They also allow you to compete with others in ‘Leagues’ for prizes.

PowerUps: Rocket Fuel, mines, and even UFO’s are examples of PowerUps! Use them in the right place and the right time during the Live Game to gain all kinds of advantages. PowerUps can be found and collected through Mini Games.

Mini Games: Mini Games are separate mobile game apps that plug into The GenGame platform. They can be played anytime. Collect Power Ups ready for the next ‘GenGame Time’, and boost your GenGame points. Our first Mini Game is a match-3 style game – ‘GenBlast’. Friends feature:
