VFR Cleared for takeoff

VFR Cleared for takeoff was designed to assist VFR pilots in VFR flights to reach and identify all the planned waypoints of route.

VFR Cleared for takeoff it’s not a standalone application, it has been designed to receive an input file with information about all the planned waypoints of your route along with time and distances.

VFR Cleared for takeoff intention is to provide simple and clear information’s about headings, altitudes, and distances to reach all the planned waypoints of your route in dynamically way.

If for any reason Pilot re-route, VFR will update heading information and also has the ability to understand that pilot might want to Skip a point… asking if he wants to do so!

In the Free 1.0 Version, Pilots can also define up to 4 Alternates which can be activated any time during the flight and instruction will be shown that will lead pilot in VFR rules to a safety altitude above the airfield. Also during the VFR flight a detection feature will give visual indication that the waypoints of the route was reached and an easy-to-start timer is also available to count each leg time.

*** VERY IMPORTANT NOTE ***

ALTITUDE is provided by GPS so its accuracy will depend on your device precision! Speed is also provided by GPS meaning that shown are ground speeds.

Remember that this application is intended for Visual Flight Rules and as pilot in command you are the responsible for keeping your flight safe.

Although it’s been fully tested, would be impossible to simulate or cover all possible situations. This application is provided as-is, without any certificate or warranty for use in aeronautical navigation purposes.

*** LIMITATIONS ***

-The feature “Auto Skip Points” will only skip one point of your route (each time). Having planned route with example of 10 points, application will skip from point 4 to 6, but will not skip from 4 to 7, or 4 to 10… will only skip one point (each time)

-While application is kept in Alternates Screen, all main processes are kept on hold, meaning that no calculations are done, and no points will be detected even if you pass through them.

*** BUGS OR ERRORS ***

VFR Cleared for takeoff was tested with android 4.2 , 4.4 , 5.0 , 5.1 , and 6.0.

If any error occurs when installing, check for app permissions. In your device go to: Settings-> Apps-> VFR-> Permissions … and allow: SD card access + Location.
