On September 12, 1897, 21 Sikh soldiers of the British Indian Army were pitted

against 10,000 Afghans tribsemen. A number too huge to defeat. But Havildar

Ishar Singh and his army decided to take on the Afghans head on. And each of

the 21 men made their presence count by fighting valiantly against all odds in the

deadliest battle ever fought.

KHILADI KUMAR IS BACK WITH A BANG

Akshay Kumar has been known as an action hero. But this time, the 51-year-old

actor is returning to the big screen with a story that has as much heart as it has

action. A film on the battle of Saragarhi. A film that salutes the valour of Sikh

soldiers who fought courageously against a deadly army.

Akshay plays the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, who led the Sikhs in the Battle of

Saragarhi and defended his post against an army of 10,000 Afghan soldiers.

AKSHAY KUMAR AND PARINEETI CHOPRA'S STAR POWER

While the three-minute trailer is mostly about Akshay Kumar and his army

fighting against Afghan invaders, it also gives a glimpse into Akshay Kumar's

love story with Parineeti Chopra. Anurag Singh's directorial venture has Parineeti

playing Akshay's love interest. It is for the first time that Parineeti will share

screen space with Khiladi Kumar, and their fans seem to be in for a treat going

by the trailer.
