Railway Food Ordering

While travelling through train the main problem faced by passengers is food. To overcome such problem we are developing a mobile application through which the passenger can order the food. Once the application is installed, he/she should signup and can access by providing the unique username and password. User need to provide their train number, compartment and seat number so that the food is delivered directly to your seat. Cash-on-delivery process takes place. The user can view the nearby restaurants while entering into a particular region.

This food ordering system is a type of E-commerce site. The process of ordering and delivering takes place where service provider will provide the list of restaurants that are available in that area and the user selects the restaurant he likes. The android application on user’s mobile will have all the menu details. The order details from customer’s mobile are wirelessly updated in central database and subsequently sent to kitchen and cashier respectively.

In this paper we present an automated food ordering system with real time customer feedback. This system is convenient, effective and easy. By implementing this project in the present railway system, the passengers can overcome the problems faced regarding their food needs in an efficient manner.
