Mother Veronica Nee Sophie Leeves ,was bornin1823inapious,cultured,English Anglican family .And mother was ardent and full of Zeal to work for the mission in india,when she was sent to found a house of the congregation at Calicut 1862..The Carmel grew and developed steadily and today it has 2500 sisters in 300 houses ,spread whole India and abroad engaged in the Apostolic work of teaching and other Charity works.
