Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is chronic inflammatory lung disease that causes obstructed airflow from the lungs.

The shortness of breath is assessed in terms of oxygen saturation in blood (SPO2), Heart Rate and Pulse Rate / Breath Rate.

Other aspects like anxiety, early awakening, fast heart rate, and pulse are assessed as part of the diagnosis.
