National sign — stable connection of the two phenomena of objective reality, one of which is understood as a sign, and the second as its interpretations, usually in the form of forecast for the future; language (in the form of a Maxim, paroemia) representation of this connection. Typically, the signs include those interpretations that are based on the collective experience and recorded in the collective memory. Signs exist since ancient times in many cultures and civilizations.

National signs represent the main areas of interest of the traditional community: weather, agriculture, to a lesser extent, the sphere of everyday life, family relationships and personal characteristics. This weather sign and commercial signs have the advantage of the rationalist framework, and domestic and family — mostly superstitious.
