St. Luke Baptist Church Believes

The Bible to be inspired Word of God, our only infallible authority. (II Timothy 3:14-17)

In the one and only true, and living God who has revealed himself in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, who are equal in every divine attribute while functioning in distinct and separate offices in the great plan of redemption.

That humanity was created in the image of God; that he sinned and as a result, all men are born with a sin nature. (I Timothy 1:14-17)

That Jesus Christ died for the sins of men and that his death was full payment for the sin of men. We believe in his crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension. (II Corinthians 15:20-23)

That the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Bible should have the place of pre-eminence in the church, home, and each person’s life.

That man is justified by grace through faith and that all who receive Jesus Christ as Savior are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby empower us to become children of God. (Ephesians 5:16)

That we are commissioned by our Savior to…”Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” We want to witness effectively in Paterson and all parts of the world. (Matthew 28:18-20)

That in accordance with the Word of God and His promises, Jesus will come again and we will be with the Lord forever. (1st Thessalonians 4:13-18)

That, until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is God’s will that we grow into mature, followers of Jesus Christ.
