Workman Corporation is a Japanese company headquartered in Shibamachi, Isesaki City, Gunma Prefecture, Japan. It is a member of the Basia Group, a major distribution company that includes the general supermarket Basia, the home improvement store Cain's, and the convenience store Save On. It has grown to become the largest specialty store in Japan for work clothes and related supplies, mainly for field work and factory work. It is a chain store that operates franchises mainly in the Kanto region but also in Hokkaido and Kyushu.

The company is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's JASDAQ and is a component of the JPX Nikkei Index 400. The company's catchphrase is "Motivation, Excitement, Workman.

As of August 2020, the company has 880 stores across Japan, and as mentioned above, it boasts the largest sales volume of specialty stores for factory, civil engineering, and construction site supplies in Japan. In November 2020, the company opened a store in Miyazaki Prefecture, bringing the total number of stores in all 47 prefectures.

The company is also known as the "UNIQLO of work clothes" for its low prices, but its operating profit margin is as high as 8%. Some influencers took notice of the low prices of high-performance products for blue-collar workers, who are mainly engaged in outdoor construction, civil engineering, and factory work, and the products spread on social networking sites. As a result, work clothes and safety shoes were sold to motorcycle enthusiasts (riders), and shoes with extremely slip-resistant soles developed for kitchen use were sold to pregnant women who paid attention to safety.

The first WORKMAN Plus store opened in Lalaport Tachikawa Tachihi (located in Izumi-cho, Tachikawa City, Tokyo) on September 5, 2018,[12][13] and the number of stores has been steadily increasing since then. From 2020, the company will open a new business model called "#Workman Girls" in Colette Mare in Sakuragi-cho, Naka-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, which will focus on products for female customers and not on work clothes, in order to capture the newly added female user base.
