Zulip

This is the official Android app for the Zulip open source group chat application.

Zulip is a free, open source, community built group chat platform, optimized around helping organizations communicate efficiently. You can learn more by visiting our website at https://zulip.org.

Zulip for Android supports:

- Sending and receiving both private messages and group messages

- Autocomplete for @-mentions and emoji

- Scrolling through and searching the complete Zulip message history

- Narrowing by stream, topic, or private message thread via drawers on the left and right of the app

- User presence drawer to see which users are online

- Logging in to any Zulip server via email/password

- Google auth to Zulip servers running Zulip 1.4.0+

Note: Google Cloud Messaging push notifications are currently only supported with the https://zulipchat.com service due to limitations in GCM’s security model. There is active discussion of using a push notification bouncer service to resolve this problem; if you’re interested in helping out, please see https://github.com/zulip/zulip/issues/1767.

Also note: the privacy policy linked in the Play store is only for users of the https://zulipchat.com service; users of other Zulip servers should consult their server's privacy policy.
