Alopecia / Hair Loss

Baldness or loss of hair is referrred to as Alopecia. This condition is usually temporary and rarely leads to baldness.

Types of Alopecia:

-A loss of all the scalp hair is called alopecia totalis.

-A loss of all body hair the eyebrow and eyelashes is called alopecia universalis.

-It is called alopecia areata, if hair falls out in patches.

-A male pattern baldness is called androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is common in men, it's a genetic or hereditary predisposition order and the presence of androgens— male sex hormones— are involved the this condition.
