Stepping Stones - Kannada

A multi module app to make learning fun for kids. This is a foundation pack, and has the "baby steps” your child can take to start learning the fun way! All the fundamental skill sets needed for a foundation in literacy are addressed.

The alphabet is introduced by name and also by the shapes of the letters and the sounds they make. This learning is extended in the Letter Tracer module where the child is encouraged to write the letter out. Additional modules in the language set teach some basic vocabulary covered by introducing the idea of word categories.

Similarly for numeracy you have the math pack with number sense for number recognition and Number Tracer where the child is encourages to write the number out. Number Sense is an underlying concept in our Stepping Stones series Math pack. This is to give children a internal framework to represent numbers so they get a internal picture of or sense of what a number is. This will be taken up in higher order packs to build numeracy.

All the modules are interlinked to strengthen conceptual understanding so that the concepts that are introduced in one are reemphasized by the other. Children learn best by repetition and all the modules and the app as a whole are designed with that in mind. Concepts are introduced gradually and in a very simple way building on what is earlier learnt so that the whole process is gradual and painless. Each module is child driven in that there is no time limit for these levels giving your child the freedom to learn at their own pace while keeping them engaged in useful activity.
