History of Bengali language is thousands of year old. It started from the age of Charyapada/ Chorjapod. Bangla – is not just a language! It’s about freedom, emotion, spirit, love and what not? Bangla is one of the leading language in the world. It is the mother tongue of around 300 million people. Bangladeshis are the only nation who sacrifice their life for their beloved mother tongue Bangla. Commemorating that holy Language Movement on 21st February in 1952, UNESCO has declared that day as The International Mother Language Day. Later on the Bangladesh liberation war in 1971 was also ignited by that Language Movement. Bongobondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was the leader of that war and the father of Bengali nation.

Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam, Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay, Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, Michael Madhusudan Dutt, Qazi Anwar Hussain, Jibanananda Das, Humayun Ahmed, Muhammed Zafar Iqbal, Anisul Hoque are some of the renowned personnel in Bengali Literature.
