Maverick Viñales (born in Figueres, Spain, January 12, 1995, age 22 years) is a domestic driver of matador. His achievements in the two-wheel motorsport championship have been seen since the age of 12 when he won the Catalan Champion 125 cc series for the first time and was able to maintain it a year later. In 2009 he ran the runner-up of the CEV Buckler National 125GP championship championship with just a four-point deficit.

For his achievement he earned a Rookie of the Year title. The following year, in 2010 he was able to win two championships at once, CEV Buckler 125GP and European 125GP championship. In 2011 he continued his career by competing in the 125cc Grand Prix world championship. His victory at the French Le Mans circuit made him the youngest third driver to win the Grand Prix. Three subsequent victories he was able to achieve and close his first season in the 125cc World GP class by occupying the third standings. Rookie of the Year title again pinned to him who was then only 16 years old.
