Contact sync now uploads only fingerprints of phone numbers. Contact names never leave your phone, and you can turn sync off any time in Settings, Data and Privacy. We will ask for your consent again the first time you open Chats. Also from this update: on Home, members and channels appear together right away, with bigger rows on phones. Messages that arrived in the background show up in one summary banner when you come back, and the channel name fits on narrow screens in group settings.
