One Million Tweets Map is a great application that shows the power of maptimize engine.

This app displays the last 24h geolocalized tweets delivered by public twitter stream API.

Map data is updated in real-time - YES - IN REAL-TIME - and we keep "only" the last 24h (about 4 million tweets).

You can see where is the biggest Twitter traffic at the moment!

See what are the recent tweets of your neighbors!

Find out where are most people with common interests with you!

Each second, about fifty new tweets are added (and oldest tweets are removed to keep only 24 hours on the map).

We are limited by twitter stream but we could do much more per second.
