REMEMBER: To use Perishable, you'll need another private friend and both of you need to be in the same group name (case sensitive).

Perishable is an app designed for kids, but can be used by anyone wanting to chat privately. I say kids because users are not required to sign-up for an account, which helps keep an individual child's identity safe. On other services, if you create an account, you probably have to provide an email address. By not asking you to provide this is another way we keep your identity safe. The only thing that needs to be kept safe is the Group names used to chat in. Anyone knowing this can access your private chat, so treat them like passwords. Best practice is to change them often just to be safe.

With a focus on privacy, no user account is needed and no more remembering everyone else's user account. Perishable doesn't need to know your Internet identity. Perishable lets you host private group chats where messages expire in 5 minutes. As users exchange text messages, older messages are automatically deleted as they expire. Perishable is an app designed around groups rather than individuals. It works like private group conferencing, but using texting or PTT to communicate. Setup separate group names to chat with different groups of people. Simply launch Perishable, join one of your groups and start chatting.

Instructions on Specific Features:

- Freeze: Used per message, extends life of a message from 5 mins. to 24 hrs.

- Hold down SEND: Activates Push-To-Talk.

- Double-tap group name: Remove group name (affects you).

- Double-tap any message: Delete all messages (affects everyone).

- Mute: Silences message chime and PTT chirp.

- Record: Activates recording all messages.

- Font: Toggle font size for message display (3 sizes).

Known Issues:

* From version 3.0g, users chatting must have the latest version to prevent FREEZE messages from being deleted before 24 hours.

* No language support. Currently working on adding more languages.

* Two people can have the same nickname, similar to two people having the same name in a web conference. To resolve, restart Perishable and create a new nickname.
