After the bankruptcy of the company behind Drugstars, it has been acquired by new owners. The acquisition has entailed the following changes to the app.

- To improve user data protection the login functionality has been disabled

- As a consequence of the bankruptcy all partnership contracts have been voided, and therefore donations and lotteries have been disabled until new partnerships have been entered into, and previous contracts have been reestablished.
