We've begun deprecating Android 4.4.z, KitKat, 41 months after we started supporting it.
The release following the next will support Android Lollipop and newer operating systems.
The ability to request permissions in a more fine-grained manner is one of the primary reasons.
It will also allow us to simplify and modernize multiple features.
