Surah Muhammad

Sūrat Muḥammad (Arabic: سورة محمد "Muhammad") is the 47th Surah of the Qur'an with 38 verses. The title comes from the direct mention of the prophet of Islam in 47: 2. It also has the name Al-Qital, which is translated for struggle because of the surah context. This chapter deals with certain conflicts arising from those who forbid the acceptance and spread of Islam. This refers to the battle of Badr, where soldiers are gathered to attack Medina. The Battle of Badr lasts for the month of Ramadan, in the 2nd year of the Islamic calendar.

This is Surah Madani and most likely revealed in the first year of Hijrah before the battle of Badr. This chapter has 38 verses in 4 sections.

Surah speaks of the real struggle that will take place between truth and falsehood. In this struggle the truth will prevail and the falsehood and the sound will be totally defeated. Partition will take place between believers and those who will deny the truth.
