Imagine you are reading books and encountering new words that you need to look up in the dictionary, you try your best to type the word unknown to you, buy still get it wrong. tmetaDict OCR is designed to help you in this situation. Simply takes the picture of the word, tmetaDict OCR will look up the word for you.

By using the same engine as in tmetaDict, tmetaDict OCR will be able to show you exact word, and similar spelling words, FAST!.

ถ้าต้องเปิดพจนานุกรม ก็น่าจะหมายความว่าเราไม่รู้จักศัพย์คำนั้น แล้วจะพิมพ์ให้ถูกต้องก็ไม่ง่าย ดังนั้นโปรแกรมนี้จึงถูกออกแบบมาโดยให้คุณถ่ายรูปคำศัพย์ที่อยากรู้ความหมาย แล้วโปรแกรมก็จะแปลให้โดยไม่ต้องพิมพ์

โปรแกรมนี้เข้าใจกฏของถาษาอังกฤษ ทำให้สามารถหาความหมายที่ถูกต้องได้ถึงแม้ว่าคำๆนั้นจะอยู่ในรูปที่ไม่มีอยู่ในฐานข้อมูลโดยตรง หากโปรแกรมไม่เจอคำที่ต้องการ หรืออ่านคำผิด มันยังสามารถหาคำที่สะกดไกลเคียงกันมาให้เลือกได้อีกด้วย

โปรแกรมนี้ทำงานได้ดีที่สุดเมื่อใช้ถ่ายรูปคำศัพย์ในหนังสือที่มีตัวอักษรสีเข้มบนพื้นสีขาว ถ้าใช้กับจอภาพ ต้องถ่ายไกลออกมาเพื่อไม่ให้กล้องเห็นจุด pixel ซึ่งจะทำให้โปรแกรมอ่านตัวอักษรไม่ได้
