Twice (Hangul Teuwaisu), formatted as TWICE, is an international K-pop music group formed by JYP Entertainment through the reality show SIXTEEN in 2015. TWICE consists of nine members: Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu. [1] They debuted on October 20, 2015, with the mini album The Story Begins.

TWICE earned fame in 2016 with the song "Cheer Up" which was ranked 1st on the Gaon Digital Chart and became the single with the best sales in the same year. TWICE officially debuted in Japan on June 28, 2017, under Warner Music Japan with the release of their first compilation album titled #Twice. The album was ranked 2nd on the Oricon Albums Chart, and sold 136,157 copies in 7 days, making it the album with Japan's first full-week sales of all K-pop artists in the past two years.In less than two months, the album sold 260,000 copies, and was certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).
