Tumpeng rice is a way of serving rice and side dishes in a cone-like shape; because it's also called 'tumpeng rice'. Processed rice used is generally in the form of yellow rice, although it is often used as plain white rice or uduk rice. This way of serving rice is typical of Javanese or Betawi people of Javanese descent and is usually made at the time of feast or celebration of an important event.
