Small fixes and a clearer message.

  • If the USB drive stops responding during a download, BootForge now tells you so, instead of saying the drive is full or read-only.

  • After a successful build, a short note invites you to send feedback or rate the app. BootForge is free and has no ads, and reviews help others find it.

  • Performance and stability improvements.

Boot menu settings and a cleaner Home screen.

  • Boot menu: choose the menu language, tree view, auto-boot, entry names and tips. The preview shows roughly what your PC will display.

  • Home: a compact drive card with its tools right below it.

  • USB copies now pick up on their own if the drive briefly disconnects.

  • Troubleshooting is now organized by symptom.

  • Performance and stability improvements.

Look inside an image before you write it, plus fixes.

  • Library: open a downloaded ISO and browse its files before copying it to a drive.

  • A download cut off mid-way is no longer shown as complete; it is reported as failed so you can retry.

  • FAT32 drives are labelled as FAT32, only offer what works on them, and use the standard FAT32 partition type for wider compatibility. The built-in distro list is refreshed.

Updated distro list and a stability fix.

  • The built-in list of distributions is refreshed: newer versions, and several more distros ready to browse the moment you install, before the app ever goes online.

  • Fixed a crash that could happen while reading the files on a damaged or unusual USB drive. The drive is now reported as unsupported, with the reason, instead of the app closing.

Bigger persistence files and clearer errors.

  • Persistence: type the size you want in GB, past the old 16 GB limit — as large as your drive allows. Creating the file is now much faster; erasing old data inside it is optional.
  • A failed import now tells you why, for example when there isn't enough space.
  • An ISO that only boots on older BIOS PCs is flagged before you write it.
  • Stability improvements.

New tools for your USB drives.

  • Back up & restore: save a whole drive to an image file, and write it back later.
  • Persistence: create a persistence file for Ubuntu-based distros, so your changes survive a reboot.
  • Windows Setup options: pick the edition, skip the Microsoft account or automatic BitLocker encryption, and more.
  • A clearer full-screen progress view for long jobs.
  • Stability improvements.

  Translation fixes in Kits.

  • Kit headings, labels and counts now appear in your language instead of falling back to English in Russian and Portuguese.
  • Item counts now use the correct plural wording in every language.

  BootForge now speaks Hindi.

  • The app is fully translated into Hindi — every screen, every prompt, every confirmation.
  • Pick it under Settings › Language, or leave BootForge on your phone's own language and it follows along.
  • Refined Hindi wording on the drive-erase confirmations.

New: copying to a USB drive now recovers on its own if the connection drops for a moment, and each file that fails explains why.

  Also in this update:
  • The app could stop responding when opening a compressed image, or when refreshing the list of drives.
  • Rare crashes while detecting or reading a USB drive, and when opening an image stored in another app.
  • A failed copy is no longer missed, with a clearer message when a transfer stops early.
  • Stability improvements.

Fixed: the Pro badge in the top bar could briefly show the wrong plan when the app opened. It now waits until your purchase is confirmed.

New: the Drive tab and your Library work the same way. Switch either between list and grid, sort it, and long press to select several images at once.

  Also:
  • Cancelling a download to a USB drive no longer leaves it stuck.
  • Most drive downloads no longer ask for a folder first.
  • Compressed images write straight to a drive.
