Shri Chinmayanand Bapuji’s discourses are an ongoing comment of our modern lives where separation and fragmentation is everywhere. Bapuji explains, our social fabric, our educational systems all drive this segmentation of the being. Today, a man can be literate but that does not make him educated. An educated man is one who is not just well-learned, but also a good human being, caring, respectful and a true contributor to the society.

As man takes on many roles during his lifetime, he is unable to do justice to all roles together. Often, he may be a good husband, but falters as a son and father, or vice versa.

This split way of living our lives is the result of our fractured education system that has moved away from the sanskar that the Gurukul taught; it is also the cause of discontent in our society today.
