'Custom GPS Location Timer Free' automatically texts your friends when you have arrived at these points or traveled a specified distance or time. Audible messages to yourself are an option.

The timer shows your time, distance and pace. See your progress on the map. Distance and pace are reported in either kilometers or miles.

Email a map of your trip along with a record of times for each way point you visited.
