Gone Fishing

Is it a good time to text your partner?

Gone Fishing is a research prototype that lets your partner know when you are not likely to read their texts or messages (e.g. WhatsApp).

It uses an experimental machine-learning algorithm that monitors some simple phone states, such as the ringer mode, whether the screen is on, or when you last unlocked the phone, to make this estimation. Initially, the algorithm makes is estimation from a data set of 48 Android phone users. Over time, the algorithm will continuously adapt to you, so it should become better and better over time.

Please note that this is a work-in-progress prototype - it may have bugs and edges.
