Know That Name highlights and focuses on social awareness. Our main goal is to keep people informed about the social injustices that people are facing on a daily basis.

Discrimination, racism, and police brutality are our main topics of discussion.

Discrimination is found in education, housing, employment, voting, lending and credit, land use, health care services, transportation, public accommodations, and government benefits and services. It is considered unequal treatment of persons, for a reason which has nothing to do with legal rights or ability. Discrimination is considered illegal by the federal and state laws of the United States of America, yet we still witness it every single day.

Police brutality or police violence is legally defined as a civil rights violation where officers exercise undue or excessive force against a subject. This includes, but is not limited to, bullying, physical or verbal harassment, physical or mental injury, property damage, and death.
